Five Best Ways To Tackle Seasonal Depression

Now the only time we feel numbness is when we struggle to scrape all the ice from our car and windshield.

One of the alluring highlights of the winter season is alcohol. People prefer to consume a lot of alcohol, as they believe that it might help them keep warm and cozy during chilly nights. But the truth is; alcohol does more damage than good! According to the 2007 study, it has been found that excessive alcohol consumption can actually lead to SAD.  So reducing its consumption can actually help you to improve your mental health.

  1. Stop sleeping in

The hibernation season is here! And just like frogs, and bears, you do want to spend the entire winter season hibernating in your safe places. Well, it’s tempting to stay in bed all day when the temperature drops, but this habit can actually have an adverse effect on your mental health. That’s the reason why health professionals recommend having an active lifestyle during winter. So, instead of hiding under your blanket, start your day with some kind of activity even if it requires you to make yourself a hearty breakfast.

  1. Mediate

You don’t need an encyclopedia to figure out all the benefits mediation has on your body. It’s kind of obvious! Meditation can do wonders in helping you to cope with any sort of mental disease, let alone seasonal depression. So take out your map, and start meditating!
